Malaysia's convention bureau, MyCEB, secured 393 business events in 2025 for an estimated RM4.1 billion in economic impact, and a further 92 events by January 2026 (RM1.6 billion, over 101,000 international delegates), according to Knight Frank's Real Estate Highlights 1H2026. Meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions are the year-round, midweek, rate-insensitive demand stream that underpins upper-upscale and luxury hotels — and that a standalone Airbnb unit has no way to reach.
